TACAMO Heritage Center

The theme for the 2012 reunion was all about the inauguration of the TACAMO Hall of Fame. It was also his desire and project to build a TACAMO Heritage Collection. Creating a place to house the Hall of Fame, the archives and memorabilia of the 50 years (and counting) of TACAMO would be the goal. This dovetails perfectly with our mission as an "alumni association". We have had many of our members share the desire and enthusiasm in this effort and plan to make it part of our association's mission and our charitable contribution. National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl) APPROVES Stone for Memorial Walkway

After years of hard work, On September 15, 2016 TACAMO Community Veterans Association received approval to place a memorial headstone for TACAMOPAC Crew 4 in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl). The TACAMOPAC Crew 4 memorial stone will be laid on hallowed ground alongside unit and ship memorial stones that line the walkway to an absolute spectacular view on the Punchbowl’s crater rim lookout overlooking Waikiki Beach, Diamond Head and the vast Pacific Ocean. Close to 40 years after Crew 4 perished, we will be dedicating both the Punchbowl memorial stone and the Crew 4 granite plaque (currently in VQ3 spaces, Tinker AFB) early next year in a special memorial ceremony o

TACAMO Shadow Boxes by Dang Ol' Woodworks in OKC

Michael Dansby "Scott" was honored to build this beautiful shadow box bar for AWFC (NAC/AW) Abenicio "Ben" Gonzales. Ben was a TACAMO E6 flight engineer for many years in the community and a great friend, mentor, and Chief Petty Officer. More of Scott's work: Wheel for Bob Holland and box for Dave Zehner Reviews: Great work by a dedicated sailor and also an incredible father and husband. This is the core values lived everyday.
