Below is the criteria. The selection committee shall review and select nominees after all nominations are received. TCVA Fallen John (Johnny) Francis McNamara

It is with much sadness TCVA reports the passing on one of TACAMO brothers, John (Johnny) Francis McNamara, VQ-4. July 12, 1953 - January 1, 2018 CAMBRIDGE — John (Johnny) Francis McNamara, 64, of Cambridge, MD, went Home to Jesus, his Savior, on January 1, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. A highly decorated career U.S. Navy veteran, he was born at Bolling AFB, Washington, DC, on July 12, 1953, and was the son of the late John F. McNamara Sr. and Lorraine Virginia McNamara. He is survived, loved and cherished, by his many loving family members, fellow shipmates and friends. Our TACAMO Community extends our condolences to John (Johnny's) family and friends. LCDR Jeff Labauve, Communications, SCW-1 & TF-124 shares insignia change which became active on 2 January, 2018. The previous wing insignia did not meet current OPNAV standards because it depicted an E-6B midflight. The proposed insignia features the closed fist used in various Strategic Air Command and STRATCOM insignia. This raised horizontal fist was previously depicted in other “Take Charge and Move Out” (TACAMO) patches prior to the Wing establishment. The three lightning bolts represent the three arms of the nuclear triad portrayed in the current STRATCOM insignia as well as the three squadrons that constitute the Wing and their colors.
