Eligibility and Selection Criteria

• Applicants must meet one of the following eligibility requirements:

  • Active Duty enlisted Sailor serving under the command of STRATCOMMWING ONE

  • TACAMO Veteran:

    • Child

    • Stepchild

    • Grandchild,

    • Step-grandchild

• In addition, all applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Be accepted and enrolled in an accredited college, university, or trade school.

  • Colleges and universities:

  • Trade schools:

• Agree to participate in an interview with the Selection Committee, either in person or virtually.

• Demonstrate prior scholastic performance and strong character that reflects positively on the scholarship and the TACAMO community.

• Selection decisions will not be influenced by the applicant’s race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, political affiliation, or religious beliefs.

• Additional criteria may be included as deemed necessary by the TCVA Board of Directors and the Selection Committee. Any changes to criteria will be published on the TCVA website and will take effect beginning with the next term of the Scholarship Committee.
