Happy Birthday, Strategic Communications Wing ONE.
Thirty four years ago on May 29th, the TACAMO Wing was commissioned. A stellar commissioning party included Vice President Dan Quale and VADM Jerry Tuttle. Captain Andy Riddile had just departed the White House as Quale's Senior Military Advisor. VADM Tuttle was Director of Naval Communications in the Pentagon.

TACAMO Fallen - Norm Graves, VQ-3
From Master Chief Ron Fox, Norman Barnard Graves Jr., 76, died Sunday. He was born in Hawaii on Aug. 27, 1949, and lived in Tracy, California for the past 17 years, and was a military veteran. Tracy Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements, and there are no services planned at this time. You picked up 891 in 64 at Marietta, you were part of the VR-21 Det at Barbers and flew around the world as part of logistics support for America's first Indian Ocean carrier battle group presence in mid '64.
