TACAMO Fallen: Andy Eaves, VQ-3

One of the Black Hawk pilots was a TACAMO Shipmate

In a Facebook post, Carrie Eaves confirmed that her husband, Andrew Eaves, was one of the soldiers on the helicopter. Carrie stated, "I am sure by now all of you have heard the news of the tragedy that has occurred in DC. My husband was one of the pilots in the Blackhawk. We ask that you pray for our family and friends and for all the other families that are suffering today. We ask for peace while we grieve."

Heart felt condolences and prayers to Andy Eaves family. The TACAMO Community extends its sympathy and prayer for peace to Andy's family and friends during this time of the passing.

I want to personal thank each and every one of you for your kindness, love, and support to me, my family, and our close family friends during this most challenging time. I cannot express in words how amazing it feels to know Andrew made such a positive impact on so many lives. We are blessed to have shared over 14 years with Andrew. He may be gone from earth, but may his memories and love move forward with us through his absence. We love each and every one of you. I also ask you pray for all the others who have lost their lives during this tragic accident, and for all those who are hurting for their loved ones right…

Our hearts are breaking for Carrie, their children, and all of Andy’s family and friends. We’ll be lifting them all in prayer, for strength, courage and peace. Fair winds, young Shipmate. RIP.

Didn’t know Andy, but he wore the fabric of our country and so we are shipmates. I grieve his loss, not just to our country but to his wife and kids as well. This family is taking heavy rolls. They are in a troubled sea. They will need the support of shipmates and friends. TACAMO community, do not forget this family over the years. They will need continued support. Remember these kids when they get ready to go to college. Just remember. They don’t know it now but, as Shakespeare said… “What Wound Did Ever Heal But By Degrees?” They will pull through but it will be tough. Be there for them.
