Mission Complete.
Another great day in Eastern Oklahoma!
To the Sailors in this picture — it was an honor to serve and fly with you back in the day, and an even greater honor to come together today to do something meaningful in remembrance of our Vietnam War brothers.
The TCVA OKC Chapter is proud to help bring this Vietnam relic back to prime shape — a lasting tribute to those who served.

Team OKC,
I can’t thank you enough for coming out this morning and getting after this UH-1D — absolutely amazing work. Where do we get such outstanding Sailors?
Jeff Harrison from the Midwest City Beacon covered the story: a group of retired Sailors from DC MWC Choctaw teamed up with Bill Ford, Shawnee Milling Company, and Mark Whitman Painting Co. to repaint this Vietnam-era Huey helicopter.
Now, when a Vietnam Veteran — or anyone — looks up and sees that freshly painted warbird, they can be proud knowing that America, Shawnee, and a group of dedicated retired Sailors still honor their service and sacrifice.
