Recently TWS (Together We Served) website admin notified its TACAMO members of an upcoming “TCVA Reunion” in Pax River in May 2018. TCVA has since had inquiries about an event in May 2018 at Pax River Solomon's Island Rec. Center. The event, organized by Bill "Buff" Crowell, is indeed scheduled and Bill is actively promoting it. July 5, 1943 - July 6, 2017 It is with much sadness TCVA reports the passing on one of TACAMO brothers, Keith Conrad "KC, Ken, or Kenny" Newell. Obituary for Keith Conrad Newell, known to many as Ken, age 74, of Great Mills, Maryland, passed away on July 6th, 2017. Ken was born in Omaha, Nebraska on July 5th, 1943, growing up in Damar, KS, and graduating from Kapaun High School in Wichita, Kansas. Ken was married to Helen Marie Goecke on April 15, 1966, and they were married for 51 years. They chose April 15th because it was both Helen’s birthday and a gentle reminder to pay his taxes. Ken joined the US Navy in 1962 to see the world, and he lived in California, Spain, Guam, and finally sett

2017 TACAMO Reunion Golf Outing

Steve Hickle, 2016 TACAMO Hall of Fame Inductee, organized a day of golf for 11 full teams, totalling 44 golfers or wanna be golfers. Each player was given The Golf Warehouse bag of goodies and a very nice lunch. Raffle prizes included: a new putter, golf shirt, several pairs of golf socks, a Navy bell, and several boxes of a dozen golf balls. TACAMOPAC Crew 4 "Tree of Life"

TCVA held a reunion in NAS Oklahoma at the Sheraton Downtown OKC. A memorial Tree of Life with 16 pair of boots and photos of TACAMOPAC Crew 4 was displayed in the hotel lobby for a week. On Sunday, June 25th the Oklahoma Red Bud tree donated by Deep Fork Tree Farm was planted in Herc Park on NAS OKC (akc Tinker AFB) by Allen Bard (VQ-3) of Symphony Landscapes LLC.
